It is anticipated the work will begin at approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The process is fast-moving and will require lane closures. Project dates are estimates based on favorable weather conditions. Should inclement weather conditions, mechanical or other unforeseen circumstances arise, the work will be rescheduled for the next available work day. Drivers should exercise caution during the construction of these projects. Loose gravel will be present on the roadway during the initial bonding of the chips to the oil. Slower speeds and caution are recommended.
Expect delays, motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes around the area if possible. Portable changeable message signs will be placed around the work zone to keep motorists updated on any changes to the timing of the project.
Your cooperation and patience during this project is appreciated. Questions regarding chip sealing may be directed to the Transportation Division’s Maintenance Unit at 530-642-4909.
