County school board seat vacant

The El Dorado County School Board decided in a special meeting July 31 to make a provisional appointment for the unexpired portion of the term, which expires in November. The board will conduct candidate interviews at the next regularly scheduled meeting on Aug. 14. The application deadline for this provisional appointment has been extended to 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11.

All interested parties are encouraged to review the minimum qualifications and submit a Candidate Information Sheet, available on the Spotlight page at edcoe.org, which includes the map of District 1. The information provided will be made available to the board. Applications may be submitted online, e-mailed to [email protected], faxed to 530-642-1832, or mailed to the Superintendent of School’s Office, EDCOE, 6767 Green Valley Road, Placerville, CA 95667, by 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11. Applicants will be notified of an interview time for the meeting on Aug. 14. Call the Superintendent of School’s Office with any questions at 530-295-2229.
