The El Dorado County School Board decided in a special meeting July 31 to make a provisional appointment for the unexpired portion of the term, which expires in November. The board will conduct candidate interviews at the next regularly scheduled meeting on Aug. 14. The application deadline for this provisional appointment has been extended to 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11.
