Davidson Fire spares building

A fire was started on Davidson Road in El Dorado on July 11, burning vegetation but sparing a nearby structure.
The fire was reported at 12:36 p.m., Cal Fire’s Teri Mizuhara said. The fire was caused by a weed trimmer.
About 8.5 acres of vegetation burned with some trees taking minor fire damage, Mizuhara said. Irrigation and landscaping were damaged or destroyed, but a nearby structure was unharmed.
The fire was contained at 1:09 p.m. Cal Fire, Diamond Springs Fire, El Dorado County Fire and the U.S. Forest Service responded to the fire.
