SOUTH LAKE TAHOE — El Dorado County sheriff’s dive team members recovered a body from the water off of Rubicon Point about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The team was able to recover the body after it was discovered by another set of divers on a deep dive, according to a sheriff’s media log.
The body is believed to be that of an accidental drowning victim from the 1990s, said Lt. Les Lovell. Further details were not immediately available Thursday afternoon.
Identification of the body is pending.
Rubicon Point is about two miles north of Emerald Bay on Lake Tahoe’s West Shore.
