An ad agency from Los Angeles was in El Dorado County last week filming a new commercial for Dr. Pepper.
Lisa Johnson, the executive producer of the commercial, said on Wednesday they shot at Sly Park. On Thursday they set up their equipment along the shore of the American River off Highway 50.
With a full crew of 70 people, trailers, caterers and security guards, the ad agency of Deutsch LA was busily making their commercial which Johnson said was being shot with film rather than digital cameras because they wanted a “grainier” feel.
Johnson said they chose this area for the commercial because of the “absolutely stunningly beautiful scenery.” She said the new commercial would air in April.
