George Duffy was my first employer. The Sacramento Bee was distributed through the News Stand and I was a paper boy. Thank you Kiwanis Club of Placerville for your contribution to the park that honors him.

I remember back when I was the doughnut maker at the bakery at the bell tower, I had his doughnut set aside every morning. Anyone that grew up in P’Ville knew and respected Duffey.
