On Saturday, March 15, between 1 and 2 a.m., an unidentified man armed with a handgun entered a convenience store in the 3400 block of Coach Lane in Cameron Park. The man demanded money from the store clerk, who refused to comply, and the suspect’s attempted robbery was unsuccessful. The man left the convenience store and drove to another convenience store in the 4300 block of Town Center Boulevard in El Dorado Hills. Again, he was armed with a handgun and demanded money from the store clerk. This time the man left left the business with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a white male, between 18-25 years old. At the time of the crime he wore a dark hooded sweatshirt with a dark jacket over it, black pants, black shoes and a black ski-type mask with the two holes cut out for his blue eyes, and another hole that was cut out for the mouth area.
Anyone who could help identify this individual, or anyone who has any information regarding these crimes is asked to contact Det. Jonathan Densmore at 530-642-4718. Information may also be left anonymously at edcgov.us/sheriff.
