The El Dorado County Transit Authority (El Dorado Transit) provides the following public transit services:

Local Community bus routes serving the Western Slope, Monday through Friday and limited Saturday service. Cash fares are $1.50 one-way or 75 cents for seniors, students K-12 and persons with disabilities. Monthly passes range from $30 to $60 and persons age 80 and older ride free with a Lifetime Pass.

Dial-A-Ride is a curb to curb, shared ride service available to the public throughout most of the Western Slope, seven days a week. Reservations are made by phone up to three weekdays in advance. Fares are based on a zone system and range from $4 to $8, one-way, depending on the distance traveled. Seniors and persons with disability receive priority and pay a reduced fare.

The SAC MED service provides non-emergency medical transportation, each Tuesday and Thursday, to facilities in the Greater Sacramento area. Reservations are placed by phone up to 14 days in advance and the one-way fare is $10.

Eleven Sacramento Commuter routes provide weekday bus service from park-and-ride locations along Highway 50 in El Dorado County to worksites in downtown Sacramento. Buses run during peak morning and afternoon commute hours and the fare is $5 one-way. Monthly passes and combination Sacramento RT/El Dorado Transit passes are available.

The Iron Point Connector provides weekday service between El Dorado County and the Iron Point Light Rail Station in Folsom. Round trips run twice in the morning and twice in the evening, Monday through Friday. One-way, cash fares are $2.50 for the general public and $1.25 for seniors and persons with disabilities. Monthly passes and combination Sacramento RT/El Dorado Transit passes are also available.
