The FBI is searching for an alleged armed robbery suspect who may have been seen in the greater Sacramento area.
Gary Casdell Fite Jr., 22, is wanted for his alleged involvement in a take-over style armed bank robbery in Pinole on March 1. He allegedly jumped over the counter of The Mechanics Bank at 2690 Pinole Road, stole a large amount of money from the teller’s cash drawer while holding a loaded semi-automatic handgun to the teller’s head.
Fite was charged with armed bank robbery in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California in Oakland on March 8, while a federal warrant for his arrest was simultaneously issued.
Fite is described as 5-foot-8-inch tall, 180-pound black man with black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on his neck and a scar on his chest. He has ties to Oakland, Vallejo and Antioch, as well as Reno, Nev. His last known place of residence was in Oakland in early 2013. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information on Fite is urged to contact the local FBI office or the nearest American embassy or consulate.
