A new store has joined Placerville’s Main Street: Feather Brains.
In times of economic recession Beth La Bean had the courage to start her own business. Everything in her shop is handmade either by herself or by young local artists. Supporting local young artists is very important to her.”We hope to give some amazing local artists the exposure that only Main St. Placerville can provide,” she said. This way the entrepreneur saves jobs and ensures that artists receive a fair wage for their work.
When you enter Feather Brains, you are welcomed with open arms and a big smile. Beth La Bean is a fun and lovely person who deals with her customers on a personal level.
Her store, with wonderful bright green walls and a lot of unique art, creates a relaxing atmosphere.
“Feather Brains is a place where people can come to buy one-of-a-kind items,” La Bean said.
The store always offers different items, depending on what she or her artists have created. It features a wide range of high-quality handmade goods such as gourds, painted stones, dolls made out of extraordinary fabric, jewelry with feathers, fabric and/or minerals, paintings, cards and many more smart, but beautiful items.
Products like the gourds are made from natural materials and turned into fascinating pieces of art.
Feather Brains combines traditional handicraft techniques with innovative design.
