A wild land fire destroyed two buildings and damaged a vehicle in Placerville Tuesday evening.
The fire started at 5:47 p.m. and occurred at 1188 Pleasant Valley Road, a press release from El Dorado County Fire District stated.
Upon arrival, Engine 38 from Oak Hill Station provided structure defense to a residence that was threatened, the press release said. More units arrived, which began fighting the fire. The fire was contained to a quarter of an acre, with the help of aircraft and a helicopter, but not before destroying two buildings and damaging a vehicle.
Cal Fire, Diamond Springs Fire, and the U.S. Forest Service also responded to the burn.
