The Folsom Lake College’s El Dorado Center, 6699 Campus Way, Placerville, will host a non-partisan election forum from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 9 designed to inform El Dorado County voters about the candidates and propositions on the Nov. 6 ballot.

Sponsored by the center’s political science students and Student Activities Club, the event will be held in the center’s community room (C-102) and is open to the public.

Featured speakers will include: representatives from the presidential campaigns of Barack Obama and Mitt Romney; California Assembly District 5 candidates Frank Bigelow and Rico Oller; education-funding panelists who will discuss Propositions 30 and 38; as well as crime-and-punishment panelists who will address Propositions 34, 35 and 36.
