El Dorado County Senior Legal Services, a program of the El Dorado County Community Services, is hosting a series of community trainings in Placerville during March.
All classes will be held at the Placerville Senior Center Dining Hall at 937 Spring St. in Placerville from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The informational sessions, targeted for seniors in El Dorado County, are free and will be held as follows:
• Thursday, March 7 — Advanced Health Care Directives and Powers of Attorney. These essential documents can be abused. Learn how to prepare them safely and effectively.
• Thursday, March 14 — Wills and Trusts for a Simple Estate. Even with less than a fortune, you still need to plan for the transfer of your assets. Learn what documents are right for you.
• Thursday March 21 — Planning for Long-Term Care. We’ll take the fear out of long-term care planning and look at your options for paying for care if needed.
To sign-up for the training series, or one of the classes in the series, individuals may call 530-621-6154. Additional information about programs and services for seniors in El Dorado County can be found at edcgov.us/humanservices.
