Free women’s safety workshop

With the holidays fast approaching, crime is once again on the rise. Learn how to avoid conflict and protect yourself against potentially harmful situations. Simple avoidance steps along with basic self defense knowledge literally can be the difference between life and death. Included in the event will be discussion and live drills taught by certified instructor Shidoshi Laura Mack.

Learn awareness, verbal skills, physical techniques, assertiveness and more on Sunday, Nov. 17 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Kovar’s Martial Arts in Cameron Park. Call 530-672-1958 for more information.

Anyone under the age of 18 will need a permission form filled out and signed by their legal guardian.
