GDPUD finalizes CalPERs contract

The Georgetown Divide Public Utility District board of directors held a special meeting Dec. 27 to finish off some final business for the year.

The board voted to amend their CalPERS contract effective Dec. 30, 2012. Under the district’s current agreement, employees receive 2.7 percent of their highest pay at 55. Under the new plan, new employees will receive 2 percent at 55.

The board also selected some of the topics for workshops to be held weekly in January and February. The first topic on Jan. 3 will be on Board Policies and Procedures. The second workshop will be held on Jan. 10 and will be on the Auburn Lake Trails Water Treatment Plant. The third workshop will be held Jan. 17 and general staffing issues will be discussed.
All of the workshops will go from 4 to 6 p.m. The workshops will be held at the district office, 6420 Main Street, Georgetown.

Wait, didn't Henry White help get Bill Wright some sort of lifetime benefits? Doesn't that guy run this whole show? You'd think before getting fired (is that what happened?) that his main AMIGO Henry would have set him up with something? Interesting what happens when someone starts looking at the books? How much would you like to see an audit of GDPUD accounts, Henry White's accounts and Bill Wright's accounts? I'm sure all is legitimate. Well, except the one dinner that was caught for $500 or whatever in Palm Springs for the "GDPUD Family" of lawyers and utility GMs that are making 33% more than any others in the state (is that accurate?) in a smaller water district that we are all supporting. I'd like to see what kind of food they got at Ruth Chris steakhouse, I just cannot afford it. Seems like booze was involved....

Looks like there's been an unannounced Board change over at GDPUD. Their website shows: • Michael Cooper, President • Bob Diekon, Vice President • Norm Krizl, Past President • JoAnn A. Shepherd, Director • Maria Capraun, Director ********** Investigative journalism should reveal what's happened to Kathy Otermat, Bonnie McLane & Ray Griffiths. A midnight purge?

Hi Evelyn, someone must have given GDPUD a headsup about their flagrant error (or the GM's wishful thinking?). Just another example of the incompetence of GDPUD management. What fool wouldn't proof website changes before AND after publishing them? Fool = Henry White.

Wonderful. Sometime in the past 15 hours Otermat, McLane & Griffiths have been reinstated! Thanks, Kelly. I hadn't gone back to check.
