A hearing for an alleged murderer was continued during a short hearing Wednesday afternoon.
Wesley Ronald Hampshire appeared in court with his attorney, Adam Weiner. Hampshire was ushered in, and after a moment of talking to Weiner, Weiner and deputy district attorney Jamie Verwayen agreed to continue the hearing to March 4 at 1 p.m. in Department 7 for a pre-preliminary hearing.
Hampshire, 18, was charged in connection with the stabbing murder of Matthew Martin Steele on Jan. 16. Hampshire remains in custody without bail.
