If you are eligible, HEAP can help you pay for electricity, wood, propane, or heating oil. Benefits are paid once a year. The amount of the benefit depends on your household income and size and how much your energy bill costs compared to your income. Even if utilities are included in your rent, HEAP may be able to help. Applications can be picked up at 937 Spring St, Placerville. 530-621-6150.”

A DALAI DILLY:
A glance at the “Insight from the Dalai Lama” calendar reveals the following thought: “If you do not have the capacity to love yourself, then there is simply no basis on which to build a sense of caring toward others.”
