CREATE A HEALTHY PREGNANCY:
 Marshall Medical is presenting a class titled “Healthy Pregnancy” on Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 7 to 9 p.m., in Placerville. This class is designed for women in their first trimester of pregnancy or planning a pregnancy. Class topics include nutrition, exercise, fetal development, prenatal tests, and pre-maturity prevention. Thanks to the generosity of the Marshall Foundation, this is a free class. DADDY AND DAUGHTER DANCE: 
The 11th annual “Daddy and Me” dance is for daddy and daughter, ages 3 and up. This event is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 8, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the CSD gym, 1021 Harvard Way, El Dorado Hills. WATCHING PAIN HURTS: 
Clara Neilsen provided the book “Live and Learn and Pass It On.” This book provides life lesson statements from people ages 5 to 95, such as the following statement: “I’ve learned that the worse pain is watching someone else in pain.”- Age 46

HERE COMES THE STORK: 
Marshall Medical Center is sponsoring a class titled “Child Education: 1-Day Intensive.” The class will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., in Placerville. This is a condensed, fast-paced childbirth class which focuses on the stages of labor, medical options and pain management. The class fee is $60. First 5 El Dorado is offering a generous scholarship to assist with class fee. Bring snacks, drinks and your lunch for the short breaks. This class is for pregnant women and their partners. SECURITY CAMERAS FUNDRAISER:
A “Kameras for Kids” breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 9, from 8 to 11 a.m., in the Sutter’s Mill School MP Room, 4801 Luneman Rd., Placerville (Lotus area). The menu includes eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, fruit and beverages. Proceeds will help to add security cameras to both school sites in the Gold Trail Union School District. No tickets will be for sale. Donations will be gratefully accepted at the door. The public is invited.

FIRE DEPARTMENT CRAB FEED:
 The Cameron Park Fire Dept. is having their crab feed on Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Church of the Foothills, 2380 Merrychase Dr., Cameron Park. Doors open at 5 p.m. You will be treated to a crab dinner, great music; and you can participate in a raffle and a silent auction. ROTARY PEACE FORUM: 
Cameron Park Rotary Club informs us that a Rotary Peace Forum titled “Be Inspired to Serve” is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 23, from 12:30 to 4 p.m., at the Cameron Park CSD Community Center, 2502 Country Club Dr. The event will feature a welcome address from Rotary 5190 District Governor Sam Wilbanks, two panel discussions and keynote speaker Emily Jonas, an Ambassador and Response Team Member for Shelter Box International, who is actively involved in local and international service efforts.
