ITALY'S FINEST vehicles, like the Lamborghini here seen at last year's event, and some fine eats will stop in Folsom on Sept. 14 at the Italy on Wheels event. Photo by Larry Weitzman

Italy on Wheels planned for Folsom

By From page A6 | September 11, 2013

Italy is moving. And no, it’s not having an earthquake. It is the name of an Italian car, motorcycle and bike show topped with Firevine wood-fired pizzas, and Italian Ice Cream Co. with more 16 varieties of gelatoes, Italian beer and sodas. Admission is free. It will take place from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Murer House in Folsom.

New and vintage Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Maseratis, Alfas, Fiats and Lancias will be the automobile stars of the show but will not be outdone by the Ducatis, Moto Guzzis, Aprilias, Piaggio, Vespas and hopefully a Lambretta or two. There will even be Italian bicycles. Remember most 10-24 speed bikes use Shimano derailers. Best in show are voted on by the public who visit.

If you have a sharp Italian vehicle, motorcycle or scooter and would like to display it, it is free to do so, just call the phone number below to arrange it.

The event will be held in Folsom at the Murer House and Gardens just off Folsom Boulevard at 1125 Joe Murer Court. Contact phone number for more information is 916-985-3250. Murer House is an historical original house in Folsom and the grounds are not large so the show is intimate and dense with vehicles.
