Jennifer Kendall appeared in court Friday morning for a brief hearing to reschedule a trial setting conference.

Michael Atwell, her newly-assigned public defender, noted that he had received a “box full of materials” from Kendall’s previous attorney, Tom Johnson, and was asking for more time to study the materials before a trial setting conference. He also noted that it was due to lack of funds that Johnson could no longer be retained.
Visiting Judge Carl Bryan agreed that he should have more time and scheduled the next hearing for Feb. 8 at 8:30 a.m. in Department 2.
