Knife leads to arrest

An El Dorado Hills man was arrested Feb. 22 after allegedly threatening his wife with a knife.

Jacob Oliphant, 26, was on suspicion of  making threats and making threats with a deadly weapon.

The wife had felt her life was in danger when Oliphant drew a knife during an argument in their Valley View home, El Dorado Sheriff’s Lt. Bryan Golmitz said.

Oliphant was booked into county jail, but was released after paying a bail of $130,000.
