Local races attract candidates

With Aug. 13 being the deadline for candidates to file to run for various local elected positions, below is a list of those throwing their hats in the ring in selected races.

Running for one spot on the Los Rios Community College District, Trustee Area 3, are Marc Allaman, John Knight, Brad Trimble and Leroy Tripette.

In the race for three spots on the El Dorado Union High School District board are Kevin Brown, Tim Cary, Amanda Nugent Divine, Jack Jordan and Todd White.

Running for one of two full terms on the Placerville City Council are incumbents Patty Borelli and Wendy Thomas. They are joined by John Clerici, Jennifer Nixon and Kirk Smith.

Running for three full terms on the Cameron Park Community Services District board are incumbents Scott McNeil and Greg Stanton. Others running are Margaret Mohr, Holly Morrison, Barbara Rogers and Mike Starkey.

Running for a two-year term on the Cameron Park Community Services District board are Gerald Lillpop and Amy Blackmon.

Running for three full terms on the El Dorado Hills Community Services District board are incumbents Wayne Lowery and Bill Vandegrift along with newcomer Allan Priest.

Running for two full terms on the Diamond Springs-El Dorado Fire Protections District are elected incumbent Pat Williams, appointed incumbent Thomas Anderson and newcomer Russell Hasemeier.

Running for the El Dorado County Fire Protection District, Division 2, is incumbent Dennis Thomas. Running for Division 3 is Bill Draper.

Running for three spots on the El Dorado Hills County Water District’s Fire Board are incumbents Greg Durante, Wallace Fullerton and Barbara Winn. Newcomers running are David Elkins, Matthew Fillmore and Doug Hus.

Running for three spots on the Garden Valley Fire Protection District board are incumbents Frank Clark and Dave Souza.

Running for two terms on the Georgetown Fire Protection District board is incumbent Larry Anderson and appointed incumbent Jon “Rick” Todd.

Running for one of three spots on the Mosquito Fire Protection District board are Michael Hoffman, Melissa Lynne Martini, Amber Lois Stetler and Theresa Marie Stuart.

Running for one full term on the Georgetown Divide Public Utility District, Seat 1, are incumbent Ray Griffiths and Carl Hoelscher. Running for Seat 2 are incumbent Bonnie McLane and Dr. Lon Uso. Running for Seat 3 are incumbent Kathy Otermat and Jesse Hanschild.
