El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 2900 block of Spruce Street in Pollock Pines the evening of March 19 after receiving a report of suspicious shots fired and an argument about a gun, a press release stated.
Upon arrival, deputies found a 15-year-old male who claimed to have been thrown to the ground by an adult male. The adult allegedly threatened to kill the teen while holding a semi-automatic handgun to the teen’s head. The suspect fired multiple shots, but the teen was uninjured.
The suspect was identified as Lawrence Stone, 50, of Fernley, Nev. He was quickly located inside a nearby relative’s apartment. He was cooperative with deputies and taken into custody. Deputies allegedly found him in possession of a loaded semi-automatic handgun.
Stone was booked on counts of attempted murder and threatening with an intent to terrorize, with a listed bail of $50,000. He was still in custody as of Friday morning.
