I remember when the first “assualt weapon” legislation was enacted in the Los Angeles County area requiring all owners to either register their “assault weapons” or turn them in, presumably to be destroyed. After all the hype, it was later determined that, to be conservative, 90% of “assault weapon” owners in Los Angeles did not register their “assualt weapons.” This result is not unusual; the national “assualt weapon” legislation of the 1990s didn’t get them off the streets, either, both because grandfathered “assualt weapons” were still legal to own, and because manufacturers made minor changes to their firearms so that they did not meet the legal definition of an “assault weapon.” So tell me, what makes you think any new “assault weapon” legislation will work any better at getting these evil, evil “assault weapons” out of the hands of otherwise law-abiding citizens, let alone criminals, who are going to ignore such legislation anyway?

I am glad NONE of my weapons are registered, all family hand downs. Oh-Noes some are assault weapons! If there are banned and made illegal guess I will have to hide them. I will not give up my right to bear arms ever – Molon Labe

If Dianne Feinstein gets her way everyone will be a prohibited person. But don’t tell the leftists who are locked in a closet, they haven’t seen it anywhere from a well respected legitimate liberal leader, writer or thinker. So even though disarming free citizens is the ultimate goal of and pinnacle of acomplishment for commies, since they don’t write it down or mention in out loud it can’t be true.
