Motorcycle chase ends in crash

A short motorcycle chase ended in a crash Friday afternoon.

The pursuit ended west of Red Hawk Casino on westbound Highway 50 in Shingle Springs around 3 p.m. Friday, said Sgt. Rick Marshall of the CHP. The motorcycle crashed into the back of a car. Marshall said he was unable to give anything more specific at the time.

The suspect was transported to the hospital for treatment, after which he will be taken into custody.
