The phones will come back on at the new building in the afternoon on Friday, April 26.
The Mountain Democrat first moved from 443-447 Main St. on Dec. 7, 1991, to 1360 Broadway. This location had previously been a Blue Shield office in the 1980s and until 1979 it was a Safeway Store. Now it will become a Tractor Supply store.
The new Democrat office building at the corner of Ray Lawyer and Placerville Drive was formerly a Blockbuster Video store and prior to that a bank.
