Moving tomorrow

By From page A1 | April 24, 2013

Thursday at 2 p.m. the Mountain Democrat phones and computers will be shut down as the staff begins moving out of the Broadway office to the new office at 2889 Ray Lawyer Drive.

The phones will come back on at the new building in the afternoon on Friday, April 26.

The Mountain Democrat first moved from 443-447 Main St. on Dec. 7, 1991, to 1360 Broadway. This location had previously been a Blue Shield office in the 1980s and until 1979 it was a Safeway Store. Now it will become a Tractor Supply store.

The new Democrat office building at the corner of Ray Lawyer and Placerville Drive was formerly a Blockbuster Video store and prior to that a bank.
