Revised plans for a 12,000-square-foot Placerville professional building will be up for approval at the Thursday meeting of the El Dorado County Planning Commission.
The building would be constructed on a 2.5-acre parcel located on the west side of Missouri Flat Road north of Prospectors Plaza. Plans are for it to be subdivided into two parcels — one 1.56 acres in size and the other .97 of an acre.
The proposed office building would be constructed on the larger parcel. The smaller parcel would be developed later. Potential uses are either an office/retail establishment or fast food restaurant.
Staff have recommended approval of the project. The planned development application and parcel map were originally approved in 1998 when the project was called the “Kragen Center.” It was later renamed the “Sundance Plaza” and then “The Crossings.” Its new name is the “Placerville Professional Building.” The applicant for the project is Palos Verdes Properties, Inc.
Also on agenda is a proposal by Jeff and Renee Badger to allow the use of an existing horse arena for dog training. Their property is located on the south side of Austin Lane, east of the intersection of Green Valley Road. Staff are recommending approval of a special use permit for the proposed project.
The Planning Commission meets at 2850 Fairlane Court in the Building C hearing room. The meeting starts at 8:30 a.m.
