The El Dorado County Board of Supervisors will hold a workshop on developing a new Oak Woodland Management Plan on Monday.
In January of this year, the Third District Court of Appeal rejected the existing county plan which gave developers the option of either limiting the number of trees on site that could be removed or paying a mitigation fee to remove additional trees. The court’s decision removed the option of paying a mitigation fee which left some developers with no other option than to redesign their projects or put them on hold until a new plan was developed.
The workshop will examine the county’s options for developing a new Oak Woodland Management Plan.
The workshop will be on Sept. 24. at 1 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors meeting room.
