Since 1976, residents of El Dorado County and non residents traveling through have benefited from an emergency medical service second to none in northern California. At that time, a private ambulance company provided inadequate service, and the Board of Supervisor took a bold step. They didn't do what they were supposed to do either.. Any surprise?
