Pinewood gets fertilizer bucks

The California Fertilizer Foundation Friday presented a $1,200 school garden grant to Pinewood Elementary School.

Each year the Foundation awards grants to 24 schools that either have existing student gardens or have an interest in creating them. In the second round of grants this year, 12 schools were selected to receive $1,200 each.

Schools interested in applying for future garden grant funds are invited to visit for the necessary information and application details.
