The City of Placerville and El Dorado Disposal will co-sponsor the free, fall Community Clean-Up event on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Placerville Station on Mosquito Road Park and Ride.
This twice-yearly event is held in late spring and early fall each year to allow Placerville residents to rid their properties of unwanted trash, recycling, yard waste and freon-free appliances.
Snowline Hospice has participated for several years in accepting gently used items and electronic waste. This event is free to Placerville residents and multiple visits to the event are allowed between the hours of operation.
At the last event, held on June 23, over 200 cars visited the event, depositing over 21 tons of trash and 2.74 tons of yard waste. Items not accepted are tires, paint, mattresses, oils or lubricants, car or household batteries, and smoke detectors. For additional information call City Hall at 642-5531.
