A proposal to create 61 residential lots and one open space lot in Valley View Village in El Dorado Hills was approved 5-0 by the El Dorado County Planning Commission at its Feb. 27 meeting.

The original Valley View Specific Plan was approved by the Board of Supervisors in 1998 to include 2,840 homes. To date, 1,930 homes have been entitled or built in the plan area.
Two other items on the agenda were continued including a request for a Specific Plan Amendment, Development Plan Amendment and a Special Use Permit for a residential senior care facility to be located on the south side of Town Center Boulevard near the intersection of Latrobe Road.
That item was continued to the March 27 meeting.
Another request to amend the El Dorado Hills Specific Plan and rezone land originally designed for commercial for residential instead was continued to the commission’s April 24 meeting.
The next meeting of the Planning Commission is on March 13, 8: 30 a.m. at 2850 Fairlane Court, Placerville.
