Plans for a 12,000-square-foot Placerville professional building were approved at the Sept. 27 meeting of the El Dorado County Planning Commission on a five-zero vote. The applicant on the project is Palos Verdes Properties, Inc.
The building will be constructed on a 2.5-acre parcel located on the west side of Missouri Flat Road north of Prospectors Plaza. Plans are for it to be subdivided into two parcels — one 1.56 acres in size and the other .97 of an acre.
The proposed office building would be constructed on the larger parcel. The smaller parcel would be developed later. Potential uses are either an office/retail establishment or fast food restaurant.
Also approved was a special use permit allowing Jeff and Renee Badger to use an existing horse arena for dog training. Their property is located on the south side of Austin Lane, east of the intersection of Green Valley Road.
The next meeting of the Planning Commission will be on Oct. 25 when they will take up several agenda items including a permit for construction of an Anthem Telecom Telecommunications Tower in Camino; the rezoning of a Shingle Springs property to allow the construction of four apartment units; approval of a Development agreement extending the approval period for the Diamond Dorado Retail Center in Diamond Springs; a general plan amendment and rezone of the Green Valley Center in the El Dorado Hills area; and a draft EIR for the county targeted General Plan Amendment and Zoning Ordinance update.
The Planning Commission meets in Building C Hearing Room at 2850 Fairlane Court in Placerville. Meetings start at 8:30 a.m.
