Police investigating gunfire in SLT

South Lake Tahoe Police Department responded to a report of gunshots being fired in the area of the 3100 block of Nevada Avenue on Aug. 10 at 11:07 p.m.

On arrival, police discovered that a vehicle and a residence had damage consistent with gunfire, a press release stated. Witnesses also placed a black Dodge Charger and a black SUV or truck in the area.

As of Aug. 12, there were no reports of any injuries from the event, according to the press release.

The investigation, however, did locate weapons and the black Dodge Charger, the press release stated. Police were able to identify and are attempting to locate Agustin Bautista, a person of interest. Police are also following up on additional leads.

Anyone with information regarding the case is urged to contact the South Lake Tahoe Police Department at 530-542-6100 or Lake Tahoe Secret Witness at 530-541-6800.
