A number of board positions were filled in the election on Tuesday.

Residents of Grizzly Flats elected Art Davidson, Doug Updike and Don Sullivan to a term on the Grizzly Flats Community Services District Board of Directors.

In the Hillwood Community Services District, John Rozowski and Michael Seligsohn were elected to board positions.

In the race for one of three spots on the board of the Rescue Fire Protection District, Jason “Fritz” Butler came in first and Ken Humphreys came in second. Vying for third place were Anne Walker and Matt Koht, who were in a dead heat after the initial vote count.

With approximately 550 votes yet to be counted, recounted or verified, there could still be a winner. If not, it will be up to Rescue’s board to decide how the third candidate will be selected.

Cant wait to see what will happen if Pollock Pines ever gets an okay to have a CSD--we cant even agree on signage...lolololl...the fight for salaries will be an interesting --part of Pollocks history --thats a given. Who will be king...or queen of the sandwich signs? or will the flags and the ugly blue sign win out. lololol...life can be fun.

In the morning at our Pollock Pines Camino Community Center--Rotary interactive kids will have their monthly breakfast. Seniors/$1.00, Gen/$3.00 and family/ $7.00 pancakes, sausage, eggs, coffee and juice...and you can have seconds. They cook and serve ...great bunch of 7th and eighth graders....come play in Pollock. (No one is paid at the center--it is run on donations and volunteers only.)
