By From page A12 | October 16, 2013

El Dorado High School and Markham Middle School were placed on lockdown Monday morning while a felony arrest warrant was being served nearby.

At 8:40 a.m., the two schools were informed by Placerville Police Department that PPD, along with Santa Cruz Police Department, would be serving a felony warrant near both campuses, a press release stated.

Both schools chose to briefly go into lockdown status in order to keep the students safe. After the warrant was served, the lockdowns were lifted.
