Shannon Brown of Cameron Park won a World Championship Title at the American Quarter Horse Association World Championships in Oklahoma City.

Brown, 26, graduated from Ponderosa High School and is currently a practicing dental hygienist at Above The Gate Dentistry in Diamond Springs.

Brown has been riding and competing most of her life. When she was just 15, she won her first World Championship with her quarter horse, License To Zip. This win was with her current quarter horse, Huntin A Gal, affectionately known as “Ryan.”

Shannon competes in California and all around the country to qualify for this elite show, and is excited about her current title.
