On Oct. 6, a female victim reported she had been assaulted in Alpine County. However, it was determined that the alleged assault happened in Meyers and is now being investigated by the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office.

Details of the attack have changed, a press release stated, possibly due, in part, to the injuries the woman suffered.

The victim described the attacker as a white male adult of stocky build, in his late 40s to 55, about 6 feet 1 or 2 inches tall. He had unknown hair color, a shaggy mustache, brown with some silver. His face was described as pitted with deep pores and a reddish hue.

A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the man’s arrest. Those with information are asked to call Detective Paul Kuhn at 530-573-3022 or Secret Witness at 530-541-6800.
