The victim of an Aug. 6 South Lake Tahoe homicide has been identified.

Manpreet Ghuman Singh, 27, was shot once in the upper torso while working at the USA Gas Station, a press release from the city stated. There did not appear to have been a robbery involved.

Though no suspect information was available, it is believed the suspect acted alone. South Lake Tahoe Police Department detectives are working with the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney, along with the FBI, to process evidence and investigate leads.

The Lake Tahoe Secret Witness Program has offered $1,500 for any information, and an anonymous donor has added $2,500 for a total reward of $4,000 for information leading to the arrest of a suspect in this case. Anyone with information can anonymously reach the Lake Tahoe Secret Witness Program at 530-541-6800.
