Travis Fisher, 20, of Cameron Park, had been traveling eastbound on Green Valley Road east of Deer Valley at an unknown rate of speed at 2:15 a.m. when he went off the north side of the road, said CHP Officer Quinn Cuthbertson. The silver 2000 Chevy Silverado traveled 400 feet, rolling twice, ejecting Fisher.
Fisher was flown to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where he later died of injuries, said CHP Officer Ron Davenport.
As of Thursday morning, it was unknown why Fisher had left the road.
Another accident, at 2:05 a.m. at Bass Lake Road and Highway 50, claimed the life of Ashley Culver, 22, of Shingle Springs.
