Fortunately Ken, we have broad shoulders and can handle the trash these folks throw. I have a VERY special needs son (severe brain damage from a stroke in his birth mother’s drug-saturated womb), cerebral palsy, blindness and he’s hearing impaired. He’s my buddy and while I take “retard” comments lightly, if anyone ever said it while he and I were around, baby, it would be on…BTW Ken, thanks for supporting the foster kids in our county. For full disclosure, I am not now nor have I ever been a member of the El Dorado County Democratic Party (apparently also known by some as the El Dorado County ‘Democrat’ Socialist Party). I wonder, who wastes their time joining the local Democratic,
Republican, or Tea Party organizations, as events are dictated in Washington, DC, not locally. Guess wearing the party arm bands makes joiners seem involved. So, if you are a joiner, enjoy.

Paddy, the supporters of the democrat socialist have nothing to fear. I suppose my point is this; the country is changing. In many, many ways. As Jay mentioned I did bring (indirectly)race into it. Because White will be the minority in this country in the not too distant future. Fact. Some people get scared and want to ignore reality. I would hardly qualify my previous post as hate speech.

This is why classes in logic and critical thinking should be required in every school in the land. There are people living among us who believe that deaths from cars and deaths from guns are comparable. Why are they so scared? Have to give your name to buy a gun? Oh, the horror. I have to give my name to buy real Sudafed. I’d be very interested to learn what percentage of these frightened people have ever had anything bad happen to them that an assault rifle would have been a help. Stop preparing for the zombie apocalypse, people. Stop dwelling on fear.

Chris’s comments are typical hate speech from the left just because someone else is different. As if preppers don’t have regular jobs or contribute to society. The difference is, preppers know not to rely on the government to save them. On the other hand, Chris is the type of person that believes government is their religion, their savior, their mother and father, their everything. Chris and people alike are nothing but young babes. Hoffman and many like him have this apocalyptic vision of America. Doom and gloom. It is pretty clear he is a member of the old rural white guy tribe. ‘Circle the wagons cause the natives is getting restless’. Well Doug, there is a paradigm shift in this country that does not equate with your vision of what America used to or should be. Where you see disaster I see oportunity. Where you see anger and despair, I see a new wave of Americans ready to take up the mantle of citizenship and patriotism. I see hope.
