A hearing on Sept. 7 for former Union Mine High School teacher and varsity baseball coach Robert Freeman ended in setting a trial date in February.
Deputy district attorney Jamie Verwayen confirmed that the hearing saw a 995 motion set by the defense — an attempt to dismiss charges. The motion, Verwayen said, was denied.
As there was no resolution to the case, a trial date was set for February 2013.
Freeman is accused of 13 counts related to unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.
