The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying two suspects who burglarized a Shingle Springs laundromat.

On June 16, at about 4 a.m., two unidentified males entered SS Coin Wash on Durock Road in Shingle springs, a press release stated. They wandered the business and were in and out over the course of five hours. Both used the laundry facility.

The duo arrived in a 14-foot U-Haul moving truck with the decal “U can do it” and a green “$19.95″ price tag on the side.

At 8:45 a.m., one of the suspects drilled into the laundromat’s coin machine while the other backed the U-Haul truck up to the entrance of the business. About $2,000 in coins and bills was stolen.

Both are white males between 20 and 35 years old. One was approximately 6 feet tall, about 185 pounds, with brown, collar-length hair. He was wearing jeans and a dark green hoodie with black skater-style shoes with white laces. He was wearing a dark baseball cap with two letters, possibly “NY.”

The second man was about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 200 pounds with a brown buzz cut. He was wearing dark-colored pants and sweatshirt. He may have had a tattoo with writing across the back of his neck.

Anyone with information on the suspects is urged to contact contact Detective Netashia Gallagher at 530-642-4720.
