SACRAMENTO — Matthew “Uncle Matty” Margolis announced Friday he will be hosting a new radio talk show every Saturday from 1-2 p.m. on KFBK. “Pet Talk with Uncle Matty” debuts this Saturday, March 22.
“Pet Talk with Uncle Matty” is a forum devoted to the frank and lively discussion of pets, wildlife and the environment.
Listeners will laugh and learn as Uncle Matty offers his straight-up and often hilarious take on animal behavior, as well as advice for pet owners on the love and care of their animals. He will weigh in on animals in the headlines, including controversial topics involving animals, and their human companions.
Live call-ins will add spontaneity and allow for real-life problems to be solved on-air. Weekly topics will be fresh and relevant and will include the input of professional guests and experts from the animal world.
Uncle Matty’s goal is to make a difference in the lives of people, pets and the animal kingdom. His philosophy: Don’t get rid of the animal; get rid of the problem.
Uncle Matty is the co-author of 18 books on dog training and behavior. He has been a dog trainer since 1968 and established the National Institute of Dog Training, one of the largest dog training facilities in the United States. Margolis works with dogs and their owners across the country, including such celebrities as Renee Russo, Merv Griffin, Goldie Hawn, Drew Carey, Madonna, Elizabeth Taylor and Shannon Doherty.
Those who have seen Uncle Matty at work have witnessed his uncanny ability to transform problem dogs into loving, curious and responsive animals, often in minutes.
