COMPLETELY AGREE with all of the above as posted by 'Concerned'. There are countless numbers of red flags in this scenario. And the longer the uncertainty and speculation prevail, the bleaker the picture it paints of local law enforcement. I Won't bother to dignify the 'stepping on a spider' comment by responding to it. Additionally the groundswell of anxiety, suspician and concern continue to esacalate in EDH. That is the bad news. The good news is. ...it is quite probable that as a direct result of the networking of her loving friends and concerned EDH residents, their persistent inquiries and search for the truth, will ultimately be what paves the way to the truth in this situation. To those who repeatedly state 'it's none of your business, it's a suicide, let the family grieve in private' . . you are at best . . well intentioned, exceedingly naive and misguided, or at worst, ignorant hate mongers. The ongoing disussion/concern and anxiety generated in this small community and on these blogs is sufficient testamonial that this IS IN FACT a community concern, and well should be. Any time a person is found dead in a public location, it is in the public's best interest to know how the person died. That does NOT translate to gossip, it translates to PUBLIC SAFETY! EDH residents need and deserve to know if there is an ongoing public safety issue. ie- who was the woman screaming for one hour that night? One needn't be a Fulbright scholar, nor a wanna-be CSI detective to realize this scenario is riddled with red flags, inconsistencies, & a small, anonymous small cadre of folks . . bound & determined to silence those who thirst for the truth. This scenarios has most, if not all, of the stereoteypical hallmarks of a 'staged to look like a suicide' murder. ("If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and swims like a duck . . ." Do we wish it were so? OF COURSE NOT. .. but neither do we wish to live in fear and ignorance. And YES, of course our hearts and prayers go out to her family and loved ones at this most difficult time. But if it were your family, stop and think, wouldn't you wish to know the TRUTH? Don't her children deserve the truth? (And NO I am NOT claiming to know what the truth is here, just saying, this is not yet 'case closed') . ie.- NONE of us know the truth yet. "If you want peace, work for justice" . . which is all we are seeking. The continued pervasive shroud of secrecy and denial surrounding this poor woman's death will neither serve her, the family nor this community well in the long term, and is effectively contributing to widespread and growing community angst/fear and suspician. Which in turn is undermining the confidence any of us have in local law enforcement. EDH residents must continue to speak out, ask questions, and insist on competent inquiry & investigation by law enforcement until this scenario is definitively resolved.

This is to 33, and Hangtown Grouper Hater...
You ARE haters and you are either clueless, or bullies with an alternative motive. But either case, you have no idea what your talking about. We DON'T KNOW its suicide! YOU don't know its suicide, and the family can't know for sure it's suicide. So lets get that straight right now! Let me just tell you something, from someone who DOES have some insight on this. I DID hear horrifying screams the very night going into early morning, the same morning this woman was found hung by her dogs leash! These were screams of someone being attacked/or struggling for her life. There is absolutely ZERO, I REPEAT, ZERO DOUBT IN MY MIND, AND IN MY HUSBANDS MIND, THAT THIS WAS THE WOMAN FOUND HUNG THE NEXT DAY! As a matter of fact my husband even told the police that night he thought the screams from Town Center. Now, to you 33, how dare you suggest that not only myself, my husband, and several other people called police because of a scream someone might let out as if they stepped on a spider!! Boy are you reaching there! But the question I have to you is WHAT IS YOUR MOTIVE FOR MAKING SUCH A LAME, INSULTING AND IGNORANT STATEMENT! Also, why arn't you concerned that a woman who is described as caring, bubbly, and a wonderful friend who was a teacher, and well loved by her students, was found hanging by her dogs leash? Does that not warrent more than a days worth of investigation?? And don't try to tell me they found out all they needed from the family, because THEY WERN'T THERE! If there was some definite proof, the police would of stated what that was. And HGH, I don't believe the police did investigate. If I were the detectives on this case, and I knew there were 911 calls reporting a woman screaming for her life, and now they were looking at a woman hanging from a dog leash, wouldn't you want to talk to those 911 callers? No one called me! It was said on one of these blogs that all her friends were called, but obviously not, according to friends that are writing in saying they just found out on Monday! Something like this needs more than a day of investigating, and not even that was done! And you know what, the El Dorado Hills residents DO deserve an explanation of what happened! This did not happen in a private residence! So you two get a clue, you two are coming up with theories yourself, and you have absoulutely NO INSIGHT on this what so ever. With this ugly name calling and bullying, it just makes me more and more suspicious, and want to do anything I can to try to find out what happened to this poor woman who was screaming for 40 plus minutes long. Put yourself in her shoes, screaming for your life, for 40 minutes, police in the area, and no one comes to your rescue? Then for detectives to give her horrible death, no more than a days worth (if that) of attention?

HGH, maybe you should re-read the original story and the reports of a woman screaming and the absence of contact by L.E. and maybe even you could understand why most ask questions. No one said anything about not caring for the woman who lost her life or her family only that there seemed to be more investigating needed. All too often things are not as they seem and we tax payers only want it to be a complete investigation and help the family to have an answer, absent any questions by witnesses.

Transparent,
It is quite apparent that you are obviously not one of the most intelligent members of society. How would you know whether an "honest investigation" is being conducted? By your illiterate response I would imagine that you have absolutely no training in any sort of investigative work or law enforcement. How can you justify your statement that cops are blatantly ignoring "rape, murder, and the like”. You have no substance to back up your ridiculous remark. This tragic incident just occurred and it takes quite some time to conduct an investigation. Furthermore police aren’t super hero’s they are unselfish men and women who put their lives in danger for the people of our community including the low-life such as yourself. Remember your unintelligent and childish response the next time you call 911 for help.
And for the poor woman who lost her life, it is really none of our business what happened to her. It is tragic and sad and now her family is left without her whatever the circumstances. Nosy people such as yourself are more interested in an intriguing story rather than the devastation her family must be faced with.

What a joke. To say someone screamed for there life for nearly 40 mins possible because of a spider. Absurd..

33 you say you are somewhat of an expert on the subject, I have not read such stupidity until I seen your comment.

"Maybe she realized last minute what she was doing and she screamed"

Does anyone really think a person could scream or even let out a tiny shriek with a ligature around their neck?
In a matter of seconds she would have been unconscious.

Call me sick but as a person who is interested in suicides this one does not appear to be just that.

it's not a coverup. Have you ever thought that the way they found out it was a suicide was by investigating her family?!? they know it was a suicide, there is no question, it's nobody elses business and it's their grief to deal with not in the public eye but in private with those closest to them. obviously the family would not allow the police to just call it a suicide and walk away if they didn't know for sure their loved one committed suicide. Maybe she left a note at home? none of our business. yeah it's strange that she brought her dog and where she did it but if you have studied suicide and I mean really studied it, there are things that don't always make sense. In many cases people don't want to take their lives in their family's home where they will find them...once again what if her child had found her? she obviously felt compelled for a reason we won't ever know and don't NEED to know. Get your own lives people and stop speculating when you know nothing about it. She probably brought her dog so that she would know someone would find her, and her family eventually would know what happened to her. She may have felt helpless but wasn't thoughtless. She knew those who love her would need some closure. I'm saying this as someone who is somewhat of an expert on the subject. Out of respect for those she left behind, mind your own business and stop worrying that the police aren't doing an adequate job. They may not know where the scream came from but it could have been someone screaming because they almost stepped on a spider. Or maybe it was her? Maybe she realized last minute what she was doing and she screamed. There's no DNA evidence related to a scream so nothing the cops can do about that. If any of you have any decency stop the talk, and simply think kind thoughts, or pray if that's what you do, for her and those who love her and are grieving over losing her.

If I were the family I would be investigating. How many 911 calls were made reporting a woman yelling for help on that night? How many calls does dispatch recieve regarding Town Center on any given night? Being a survivor of a family suicide I appreciate the fact that the officials did not mention her name. But, unfortunately this family will have the burden of proving it was or was not a suicide. There seems to be alot of unanswered guestions. People think its a cover up, if thats true it would have to be a cover up by Town Center. Town Center has the most to lose if there was a murder. They would not want this to get out into the community because fear would keep people away. I believe that our El Dorado Hills community has no idea of all the life threatening crime that takes place here.

So, no details, no report, no evidence released and we should trust they know there was no crime, really? I don't think a dog person would abandon their dog like that at night in a large public area and this is just the start of suspicion. Add the woman screaming at about the same time, the bizzare location, method of death, nothing adds up here, nothing that I have ever seen before. The update only adds new questions and answers none of the previous.

Why the secrecy? Why wont they release her name? It has nothing to do with poor police work. Shame on some of you people more concerned with satisfying your own curiosity than thinking of how her family may feel. Since it was a suicide, and no crime was committed that the public needs to be concerned of or worried about, her family has the right to keep her identity private. it's a small community, everyone gossips so eventually people will probably find out anyways. But imagine the pain her family is going through...if your mother, sister, daughter killed herself and you were left with so many questions. Many families feel somewhat ashamed as well although they should not be. They are going through a tremendous amount of grief right now that unless you've been through it you cannot imagine, why would they want to add public attention to it? With that comes phone calls, more gossiping, wondering why, speculating why. Her family has to continue to live here. If she has school aged children they don't need the added burden of people asking about their mom killing herself. People think they understand suicide but they don't. There are reasons as to why this happened and we will never know and truthfully that is fine with me. I pray for her family that they can eventually get rid of the nonstop questions running through their minds and hearts and come to peace and just continue to live in her honor. I am sure she will be missed by so many, and if you happen to find out who she was, please respect those she loved and don't participate in the gossip!

Why can't there be an honest investigation and reporting and a true finding, isn't that what we pay for with our cops. We would have more faith if it was done that way in the first place, all to often we see that poor investigations lead to people getting away with murder, rape and the like. The police are trained aren't they and then they're watched and supervised and second guessed, so why do we always hear of poor police work. This all makes no sense and the people deserve more from those in charge, do a great job every time PLEASE.

Why has her name not been announced? Why the secrecy? Not a mention in the local papers or TV. all the secrecy is furthering imaginations and rumors. Very tragic and I hope your son is treated for Post Traumatic Stress.

This was so very tragic. To make it even worse my 22yr old son and his 2 Co-workers found first the dog which in turn led then to her body. They called 911.Our family sends out to her family a hearfelt sadness at her passing. While being questioned about what they found as they pulled up for work that day, it seemed the police agreed looked like she had been murdered because of the circumstances which I should not say because I am sure it is still being investigated. My son will never foget this day in his life and told me it was the worst day he has ever had & was so saddend thinking of what he saw and about her family. May she rest in peace no matter how she left us.
