Vacancy on the GDRCD board

The Georgetown Divide Resource Conservation District Board of Directors accepted the resignation of Board Member David Jordan at its meeting in Greenwood on Monday, May 20, 2013. The board is now accepting applications from individuals interested in appointment to the unexpired term which ends Nov. 30, 2014.

The Resource Conservation District advises and assists individual landowners and public and private agencies in planning and implementing conservation practices for the protection, restoration or development of land, water and related natural resources throughout the Georgetown Divide Area. The district is actively involved in erosion control assistance, agricultural lands assistance, forestry and vegetation management, environmental policy and compliance, wildlife habitat improvement and restoration, wildfire protection, conservation education, watershed and water quality assessment and monitoring, park improvements and more.

Applications for appointment may be downloaded at georgetown-divide-rcd.org/news.htm or obtained by contacting the RCD office at 100 Forni Road, Suite A, Placerville or by calling 530-295-5633. Applications must be received at the district office by June 28, 2013 or e-mailed to Mark.Egbert@ca.usda.gov.

Qualified applicants must be a registered voter and a landowner within the district or a designated agent of a landowner. The board is seeking applicants who are interested in soil and water conservation and are motivated to work on a voluntary basis to promote environmental conservation practices here on the Georgetown Divide. Board members are elected at-large by voters of the Georgetown Divide area and serve four-year terms without compensation.

The Georgetown Divide RCD Board will make an appointment at its July 15, 2013 meeting on a non-discriminatory basis, without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, marital status or disability.

More information about the RCD Board and board meetings may be obtained at georgetown-divide-rcd.org/Board.htm.

I think we have reached critical mass regarding voluntary commissions and people willing to subject themselves to them.

Domeceld, Help me out here. What did you say in your post and what language is that?

DB: The language is Russian. Translation: "Hello! I present to you a very good resource, where you will find all the most necessary: the best online photo diaries. Everyone is welcome!" - No, I don't speak Russian. But Google TRANSLATE here can handle the simple stuff. Try it out.
