The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office announced the fourth of five “We Work for You” community meetings. This meeting will be held for District 4, on Oct. 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Golden Sierra High School, located at 5101 Garden Valley Road in Garden Valley.

Sheriff John D’Agostini, District 4 Supervisor Ron Briggs and Sheriff’s Office administrators will be present to discuss crime trends in District 4, and the resources available from the Sheriff’s Office. Along with other Sheriff’s Office personnel, they will be available to answer any questions you may have that were not answered in their presentations.

The community meeting will include an overview of the three divisions within the Sheriff’s Office. These overviews will be presented by the Sheriff’s Operations Division commander, the Sheriff’s Office Custody Division commander and the Sheriff’s Support Services Division commander. The Sheriff’s crime analyst will present a PowerPoint presentation about crime trends in the district and the Sheriff’s CFO will present a budget overview. The presentations will conclude with a question and answer period in breakout stations.

Representatives of the Sheriff’s STARS (Senior Team of Active Retirees), Explorers and Reserve programs will also be in attendance to inform you on their programs and how you can join the Sheriff’s Office volunteers. Come and learn how the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office works for you.

“We Work for You” community meetings. Well thats nice to see...much better than "visionings." I like the Sheriff. Town Meeting tonight--bring a senior. 6:00 pm at the Pollock Pines Camino Community Center. People from all over the County will come and address many programs that the seniors may not even know they had available. Some fun things will be talked about as well...free coupons to come have a free lunch (while supplies last.) Helping hands, bowling alley and volunteers will answer questions within Pollock Pines. This meeting was designed with the senior in mind. People asked for it--and the coordinator Bruce--set it up for you. Ask a senior if they could use a ride...bring several friends. Ms Santiago will be at ours...and one of the others for Pollock. all three can not be in the same place at the same time...I still think its odd to have three supervisors for our tiny space...does that mean we should be getting 3x the support?

Per Phil Veerkamp September 17, 2013 - 9:10 am Georgetown always was sort of an unnecessary appendage of El Dorado County Hummm Funny how nothing on the net o is ever gone.

I'm very curious why the Sheriff's Office sent this to the Mt. Democrat?....... Divide residents do "not" have the MD "delivered" to their house. The only way a "Divide" resident can get the MD is to have it mailed...... or ...... buy it at a store...... Maybe he needs to make public notices since it is NOT listed on his "Press Release" page...

YO, Little Ricky! How 'bout a few lines describing the "honey-do-list" that Shellz left you when she went off this AM to bring home th' bacon. Is the laundry done yet? How 'bout th' dishes? Do you get to have a coffee klatch with th' gurlz? Have you weeded and watered yer medical pot plot yet?

Shellz, is it true that while you're bringing "home the bacon" Little Ricky is home having coffee klatches and squeezing in the chores that you leave him? I ask only because sometimes that dynamic can be damaging to fragile male egos. Perhaps Little Ricky would grow into a Big Ricky if he assumed a more traditional role.

James, when is posted that the water rates at GDPUD were likely too low Little Rickey, decided that my data ought to be countered by ad hominem. ~~~ LINK - ALT bid decision due this month ~~~ Little Rickey believes that even though GDPUD's rates are lower by 20 to 1 everything is peachy with GDPUD's rate structure. Little Rickey believes that since I am not a GDPUD customer I ought to butt out. Hence ad hominem.

Hummm...Phil, Evie and your MINIONS Your a Joke.... The type of people that flame others tend to have their own groups. They'll usually enlist others to try and do the job. Sometimes, one troll "Phil" will have multiple accounts (Jethro Mcpecker) to give the appearance of having more than one person in his/her group. In a few rare cases, the community mods "Evelyn" will start the flame war, or the mods purposely will aid and abet one that is currently going on. When you see that happens, its time to find a new community. If the mods don't respect the time you and others are volunteering to put into the site, go find another site that is worth your time.

Briggs is coming to the Divide? Does he know how to get here? Why will he only come up if he has a Sheriff escort? Better put the tar and feathers away for now Georgetown. Better lock up your valuables Garden Valley, Briggs is coming to town. Hand wash will be available for those who he touches.

G’town Whistler is right: "These overviews will be presented by the Sheriff’s Operations Division commander, the Sheriff’s Office Custody Division commander and the Sheriff’s Support Services Division commander. The Sheriff’s crime analyst will present a PowerPoint presentation about crime trends in the district and the Sheriff’s CFO will present a budget overview." I don’t see Briggs or Sheriff D’Agostini mentioned in this article posted 9/23. Something smells fishy.

Using a county car and getting paid to campaign is nothing new in El Dorado County. Also, when you have Briggs attention ask him why he won’t help El Dorado County veterans when he promised he would. The more I see and here about Briggs and his nephew the more obvious it becomes that their a group arrogant knuckleheads born with a silver spoon in their month.
