Join Sierra Wildlife Rescue to learn more about wildlife through upcoming classes. March classes will include Songbird First Aid, March 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Rehabbing Rabbits, March 16, 1 to 3 p.m., both for prospective rehabbers; a repeat of Introduction to Local Wildlife, March 19, 7 to 9 p.m. (general public); Homeopathy for Baby Animals, March 23, 10 a.m. to noon; Living with Wildlife (general public), March 23, 1 to 3 p.m.; and Rehabbing Raptors, March 27, 7 to 9 p.m.; and Rehabbing Waterfowl and Game Birds, March 30, 1 to 3 p.m., for prospective rehabbers. The complete 2013 Class Calendar is available online at sierrawildliferescue.org for other species-specific classes held through April.
All classes are held at SWR’s Wildlife Center, 3030 Newtown Road in Placerville. Parking is limited, so make reservations by contacting Barbara Barker at 530-621-2650, or at barbaraewing@cal.net. If you register for a class and can’t attend, please let us know as soon as possible, since there is always a waiting list. Classes are free to SWR Members; a $5.00 donation is requested from the general public.
