AUBURN — The Sierra Economic Development Corp. (SEDCorp) has announced its latest series of small business development training that will start in April.
Classes will be held in Nevada, Placer and El Dorado counties. These down-to-earth, highly effective and affordable classes are geared towards start-ups, entrepreneurs and small business owners who need help optimizing their online business presence, managing their financials and managing their time.
New for April is Video Marketing Your Business (learn the tools and techniques to produce a one-shot video for your Website), Show Me The Money (explore various resources to finance your business), Thinking of Selling Your Business? (Learn the issues and activities that should be addressed) and How To Start A Business (walk through the steps in the start-up process).
SEDCorp is offering a free class in April: Get Out of Debt ASAP ($45 value), a refundable class: Making Solar Part of Your Business Plan and discounted classes: QuickBooks, Time Management and Body Language/Communication Skills. Small businesses will benefit from the instructors’ expertise who are or who have been in their shoes.

SEDCorp has invited five different agencies to speak on various topics geared toward small business and entrepreneurs:
April 7 — Basic Sales and Use Tax, state Board of Equalization.
April 14 — State Basic Payroll Tax, state Employment Development Department.
April 21 — You Want to Start a business? Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service.
April 28 — How to Do Business with the CA State Government and Unraveling the
Mysteries of eProcurement, state Department of General Services
May 5 State Income Tax and Small Business, state Franchise Tax Board
