She touched every person's heart she met and will be greatly missed by us all so very much. To know her is to love her.

Her  life will continue to be celebrated by her "Forever Love," husband, Shawn; sweet children, Spencer and Savannah; and Daddy Monte. Her journey will continue with her Mom Joyce and Brother Ivan. She will be honored on Thursday, Feb. 17, at 1 p.m., in Placerville at the Green Valley Community Church, 3500 Missouri Flat Road.

In lieu of flowers, if you would like to send a monetary donation to the family you can do so by logging on to pietrasvillage.wordpress.com. There is a secure Pay Pal account set up on the bottom of the page.

May God Bless you all.

Whenever I think about or talk about the most amazing mom, the perfect family....or the most awesome marriage you are always the one I'm speaking of. You were definitely one of a kind Miss Pietra. My girls love you...they are already asking who's going to draw those awesome sharks on their backs this summer for swim team! I still can't believe you are gone. I am so glad I got the opportunity to sit and talk with you the Saturday before you left us. I'm glad I told you that I love you. As sick as you were you still had a beautiful smile...you still laughed.....and you still made my girls feel important. I loved watching you put a pony tail in Savannah's hair and when you told her it was crooked she didn't care....her mommy had done it for her and she was happy. You have really opened my eyes and I will never take nothing for granted again. Jordan, Jenna and I will miss you terribly. Cheri Love

Pietra - You taught me so many things.... Mostly I learned that "stuff" doesn't matter, but who you love and HOW you love touches people forever. Thanks to you, I'm trying everyday to be a better person and a gentler person. Thanks to you I've learned that life isn't a "To Do" list and a schedule. Life is precious and while I'm still on this earth I am going to try to make a difference, and when I do, please know you helped inspire me to do it. Shawn, Spencer and Savannah - We are here for you now and always. Please remember you are not alone on this journey; not now, not 3 months from now and not a year from now. This entire community is prepared to support you now and for the years to come. Love you always.

Pietra - I have never had so much fun putting together a "Fall Festival" as I did with you. Your smile was infectious and your love for family and friends an inspiration to all. It was always a bright spot in my day when our paths would cross when you were taking the kids to school, or picking them up. To see you and Shawn together, with you fixing Savannah's ponytial or giving Spencer a hug....Knowing what you were going through, I would stop and relfect on how important these everyday moments are. You will never be forgotten.

I will forever cherish our friendship and all the laughs, fun times, and wonderful memories we shared together. I am so grateful and blessed to have had you in my life. When I look up into the night sky and see the brightest star, I know that is you watching over all of us and shining your beautiful light upon us. Love and miss you so very much. Jodi

We spent many hours at the docs, hooked up to IVs, You always smiling and happy, except for those fun-filled chemo days... Your family was pretty much living with you... You made the hours better, and you were way too young. -Greg
